Sir John Warcup Cornforth was a chemist who is specifically known for his work with cholesterol for which he won the Nobel Prize. One of the things that is interesting about Cornforth is that he had his own experiment laboratory at home when he was in school so he was always doing chemistry experiments. Since his famous discoveries involved narrow topics, his biography can be taught with an emphasis on chemistry experiments rather than on cholesterol or steroids if needed.
